When you create an account, we collect your name, email, and account type. Producer applicants also provide job title, company name, website, and IMDb URL for the approval process. When you upload a script, we store the file and the metadata you provide. We collect basic usage data to operate and improve the platform.

We use your information to operate your account, make your scripts discoverable according to your visibility settings, send notifications you've opted into, review producer applications, and improve the platform. We do not use your screenplay content to train AI models. We do not sell your personal information or script content.

Your writer profile is visible to verified industry users when your scripts are set to Industry Only. You control what appears on your profile at any time from the Profile page.

Your data is stored securely on infrastructure meeting industry-standard security practices. Script files are kept in private storage, accessible only through authenticated, permissioned requests. We do not store payment information — the platform is free.

We use only the minimal cookies necessary to keep you logged in. No advertising cookies, no third-party tracking pixels.

We use trusted providers for database, authentication, and file storage, and Google OAuth as an optional sign-in method. We do not integrate with advertising networks, data brokers, or social tracking tools.

At any time you can edit or delete your profile, delete individual scripts, or delete your account entirely. To request a full data export or permanent deletion, contact privacy@yourfilmproject.com.

YourFilmProject is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
